Bama Dave Thursday Drive DFR 2023
Was on FB and saw a waterfall in North Carolina that looked interesting to go check out. It off Canada Road but south of Highway 64. Its call Upper Whitewater Falls (411 feet) and is the tallest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. Looks like there is about a mile walk to the overlook so bring the correct footwear. I will take the usual route to Canada Road. Its farther south so there will a route that I have never done (believe that or not) Should be able to find lunch somewhere along the route. I will search out a place and post up later. Would like to drive back up 215 towards Waynesville and maybe eat dinner there. I know of a couple of places that serve great food. Please post up your name, car and color and I will add you to the drive list.
Start Location and Time: In front of the Wildwood Grill parking lot around 9:00am. Leaving at 9:30am SHARP

I didn't hike to the falls but I've driven up that road. From Highlands you can head south on 28 (awesome twisties heading down the mountain) all the way into SC, head north on 107 then jump over to 130 using state rd s-37-413 just before the NC state line, then up past the falls and north to 64.

I would love to do this early drive, but I want to give Amy the traditional OKI Dragon experience, as this is her first time ever to the area... not even Gatlinburg. So we'll be coming in Thursday with OKI.

I’d like to join this group but somewhere in the middle..? or maybe meet at upper whitewater falls? I’ll be coming up from Clemson area that morning probably via hwy130. Hopefully I can time it right after my pit stop in Clemson!
