I could not even get through the pixar animated short without crying

The beginning sequence, showing Carl and Ellie together. . .that could have been the whole movie and it still would have had more emotional response than 99% of other full-length movies.

Sort of like the first 15 minutes of Wall-E last year. So much conveyed without words.

Pixar is so good, even if I don't count Up as one of their "best" films. Still far and away the best movie I've seen this year though.

I cried throughout the whole movie. Up is one of the best movies I have seen in years. My wife and I saw it yesterday, and the whole theatre was in tears during the first few minutes.

Iron Giant made me and still makes me cry when I watch it.

it truly is a must see/own for animation fans and people that like a "good values" movie

you guys are a bunch of blubberbutts. I, being a real man, only cried during the first 30 minutes. i liked that they started off with that, because then he could be as much of a grumpy old man as he wanted, and you would still love him.
