TV series on DVD
With the continuing writers strike claiming more and more shows, I am going to use the time to try some series that I've never seen. I don't have HBO and I know there are/were several good series on there, such as The Wire, 6 Feet Under, etc. So which ones should I give a shot?

Lost
Heroes
Arrested Development
Sopranos
If you are nerdy enough the first season of Battlestar Galactica is actually pretty good.
You could also check out a new series on AMC called Breaking Bad. only two episodes in and pretty good so far. About a high school chemistry teacher who finds out he has terminal cancer, kind of in the middle of a midlife crisis, and decides to team up with a burnout to cook and sell meth. The main character is played by the dad from Malcolm in the Middle. Very dark show.
I started the first season of Rescue Me but got bored with it.

My personal favs are:
The Office Seasons 1-3 (season 2 is my fav, then 1, and 3).
Family Guy
24 - if you haven't watched any yet (any series is extremely addicting, you just watch these episodes one after another. I got hooked on this when A and E was having a marathon. Watched it ALL day long.
Sopranos is always a good choice.
I've never got into Lost, but I think I'm going to start watching.
