It was ok in my book. I expected more a lot more but hey it was not dissapointing either. I give it a 7 out of 10.

A little bit long. Will see again when out on DVD.

I saw it last night in IMAX. Excellent movie, very well worth the IMAX experience. The sound alone in the IMAX theater made it worthwhile. The 3D was not of the quality that you see in the animated features but it was still very entertaining
.. because its not a 3D movie..did they give you glasses? If not, then it wasn't 3d at all.. even so, I don't think it was 3d at all

Same here. I was ready to leave the theater after 30 minutes but I was with someone and let them finish it. I need to go see movies by myself more often. I wanted the 2 hours of my life back.

saw it on imax, the storyline seems coming out of nowhere, guess you have to be up to date with original movies/comic books to like it, 7/10 from me as well

i saw superman returns last night!! superman was sick... i found a couple of well i guess you can call them flaws... like if kryptonite were radioactive pieces of krypton... then how do lex luthor and other humans handle it like it was some regular piece of rock?
and like how did louis lane survive that plane ride? she got bashed around pretty badly... she woulda have a crapload of bones broken and such...
other than that it was a friggin awesome movie

1st off I'd like to say this movie kicked some serious arse, I saw it 3 times already so you can take a geuss at where I stand on how good it is.

and now to your questions, kryptonite is radioactive pieces of krypton and affects Kal-El almost immediatley but it does affect humans the same way although it does take a lot longer. In the comics long term exposure to kryptonite is lethal to humans as well as kryptonians.
