I just got back from seeing it in one of the few remaining theaters in town. I'm glad I got to see it on a big screen. It was very enjoyable for me and the friend I went with. I enjoyed all the new character twists, and feel this enterprise is not done yet. Good job.

 

I saw it again last Friday; this time digitally on a big screen. Looked great, perfect color, and Bardem's acting is spectacular.

 

True, but although the aforementioned gay related lines did not make me uncomfortable, the closeups of his face were a different story. Great actor, but some serious wierd angular stuff going on with his face. Although Penelope Cruz digs it so........

 

My thoughts exactly. The biggest thing this film was missing was a car chase. Bond used to be my primary movie franchise for great car chases (and the Bourne series too) but this one didn't have one. What was even worse was that they brought back the legendary DB5, and all it got was a boring country drive and the battle that was fought around it while it mostly stayed in place.

Now that I understand the whole point of the movie was not to have gadgets, I'm more comfortable with that, but I still have always been a fan of them.
