I just came back from this movie and I thought it was GREAT! One thing that struck me in this movie was the power of the score. RtP does not contain as much dialouge as say American Beauty(another Sam Mendes film) but it is still just as powerful. Mendes did a fantastic job with certain scenes, especially near the end.

I just saw this movie tonight. It was excellent. The whole thing was just extremely well done. The acting was great. I highly recommend this movie.

Hated it, never once picked up any sort of exciting pace, I could have walked out for a solid hour, come back, and not missed a damn important thing.....and tom hanks killing people with machine guns??? come on! All the hype behind this movie is absolutely exaggerated, try watching this movie two or three times...i can't see anyone sitting through that twice.

i'd have to agree with the first comment. the score was indeed a work of art and complimented the screenplay. although the pace was kind of slow in the beginning, the overall movie was well worth the price of admission.

Man I don't know what you're smoking, but it can't be good.

This was a cinematic work of art.

This is easily one of the ten best of the year, I'll make a wager on it, gentleman's bet of course
Yea because movies nowadays suck! So I guess I can agree with that comment. I still dare anyone to see it multiple times and not fall asleep.

Saw this movie last night, and gotta say that I loved it. Great movie. It is very deliberately paced, so if you've got a short attention span, this movie is not for you.
Jude Law sure did a good job of being creepy

It's true that it's not a movie that I will want to see over and over again though.

I saw it twice, and I still loved it. Part of the reason I liked it was because part of the movie was filmed in/ near Saugatuck, MI, where I lived this summer. The score was definatly a winner, especially the first song in the movie. If you listen closely, parts of the first song are modified to dictate mood and used in later songs in the movie.
