i'm not sure but if kubrick was still alive, i think i would still prefer spielberg's version. kubrick would just add a lot of unecessary nudie perverted stuff (especially in rouge city)...spielberg kept the story line straight...

i thought the EXACT SAME THING!!! about the ending. i really wanted it to end as he was going down... i know a lot...A LOT of people would've been majorly disappointed and screaming and ranting about how they want their money back.. because that's what happened with A.I. (well i don't know about screaming people wanting their money back).

hola steve! i just left you a vm...
anyways... it's kind of funny....i have very little dvd's as i almost never watch movies twice... but based on my friend's fanaticism by watching mulholland drive 4 times at the theaters....i bought it the day it came out without ever seeing it.... even though i disliked "lost highway" very much....
anddddddddd i ended up not falling in love with it as i expected to i think i was really tired when i was watching & didn't care too much... & when there was only 15 mins left on the dvd, i acidentally pressed something on the remote that rewinded it to the beginning... & you know how the dvd is just ONE big chapter. i ended up not finishing it until a week later...
but i can see why a lot of GUYS would like the movie it's a "luv" story
so yes i slightly liked it, but it's not "my kind" of movie... i think i'll try to spare 3 hours this weekend to re-watch it

Hey thanks for the vm! Hahaha... yeah I totally fell asleep during Lost Highway, no point in finishing that one at all. But I dunno, I guess I was in just the right mood when I watched Mulholland, I thought it was very thought-provoking like a puzzle. I'll have you know I liked the movie even BEFORE the whole luv scene came on -- that was such a shocker hehe.
You know, I didn't before, but now I wanna see The Cell now that you and others have been raving about it in that other thread....

I just saw this movie 2 days ago and I thought it was pretty good. I would recommend people to see this movie.
The whole tone of the movie was very similiar to AI.
