The Boondock Saints
i was at Best Buy today looking around for a good movie when i came across this title, it was in the new release section (never heard of the movie before). So i brought it home and watched it Twice!!! damn this is a good movie definatly now one of my top ten favs... If you liked Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Punisher Lock stock and two smoking barrels you'll love this movie. My question is did this movie ever make it to the movies or was it staright to video.

It was a deep below radar indie flick so it was probably released in art house screens and college screens.
best cat explosion on film.
Willam Dafoe's protrayal of a homo-hating homo is awesome and his disection of the crime scene is totally genius
one of the top ten pulp movies for sure

yeah i did a little research on the film and i found out that the movie was almost greenlit to hit the silver screen but right before it was almost finished the columbine inccident happened forcing the movie to not even make it to any film festival and was delayed to a later straight to video release. but fox is now making a sequel with the same cast. i cant wait for it to come out!!!

Great great movie. I think it's become sort of an underground hit these days. If you like Boondock Saints, you should also like Snatch.

Watched it over the weekend... I agree it's a classic!!! Very funny with lots of memorable moments. Lots of violence too! Great storyline/concept as well! I can't wait for the sequel; "All Saints Day" I give it !
