ok you guys ready for this one?!?!

that is my yellow paint on the washy thing that i washed her with!!!
i about passed out when i saw my paint coming off of my car!! it came off the back bumper and i can still see the other paint underneath of it...they said that they completly stripped the car before painting!!! i dont think so! so i put the paint chips in a ziplock bag...there were more than what you can see in the picture......and i am going to bring them to honda....what should i do...this is the second time around i have had this problem this is obviosly not gettin solved and i am getting tired of this and everytime i ask to speak to the regional manager they say they dont know when he will be there blah blah...and this has been since december!! this is very poor service and it isnt getting better what the hell can i do????

 

Just a suggestion but if your dealer is not giving you satisfaction call Honda and complain. They will give you a case number to reference and then you should get somewhere. Be advised they will call the dealer first then call you back. It takes a while but dealers don't want complaints through HQ. I don't know the story behind this thread, was the car repainted?

 

Hey Jen,
You tell Honda that you have a show to go to and they need to fix it right away. If they give you any lip tell them if they primmed, and prepped it properly they would not have to do it a 2nd and 3rd time. This is due to shotty workmanship and dont let them play the "Well someone must have bumped you in a parking lot" crap.

that what i was thinking redrice..... this is insane i dunno but i thonk i would complain my ass of to honda america because this is just absurd..... ur paint is actually coming off ur car.. that alone is crazy

 

Is your S2000 spa yellow pearl or a repaint? It looks as if its a very lighter yellow then the spa yellow pearl

 

i was in an accident last feb.28.2001 and they had to repaint the entire car...well the first raint job was chipping and peeling and was really off color.......so in november i had it repainted again by the same body shop, the authorized honda body shop...when i picked the car up i noticed that the bumpers were a differnt shade of yellow than the rest of the body along with the side mirrors....they said this is normal and if you look at it this way it is all the same color..i said i dont want to have stnad on my hands to see the same color....so now yesterday as you can see in the above picture this is what happened...mind you there are also many clear coat drips, tape lines ect....

mind you this isnt the only issue that i have been having with the car.....my driver side seat belt WONT retract...and i showed the tech at honda this but yet they "cant reprodude the problem" and no mattter how many times i ask to see the reginal manager they dont know when he will be there and i just tried calling the office and there was no answer it rang for over 5 min straight.
also there are wear holes in my top also with about an inch slice right at the bottom of the driver side corner of the top where i know it was not there before it went into the shop to have it repainted then magically it is there when they looked the car over...so i dunno......
i dont know what to do i have tried my hardest to contact everyone that i can and i am getting nothing accomplished....i am geting so fed up....

 

actually i got the same problem with the driver side belt too, i always hear a crunch noise when i close the door, and i notice its always the door closing on the seat belt, its pretty annoying but i got used to it

 

wow, u had repainted your whole car jen? did not know that.....what had happened? Well if you hvae the chance for a free paintjob, u should try and paint it Monte Carlo Blue..lol...but on hte other hand, you should complaint your butt off cause paint should not be chipping of a 35k car!!!!!!!!!!! and yea, ive noticed the different shade of yellow deal at a few other honda dealers as well when they add acessories and stuff to the cars

well anu i was going to have my car repainted either the orange or lime that is over in japan...but the inside of the engine walls are painted and that would require them to remove the engine and repaint in there which would be more $$$ so i said oh well i bought yellow i love it so i can live with it.....

heres the news on this story...i woke up at about 8:30 and at 9 my phone rings i was like who the hell is this!??! and it was the body shop! he was like whats going on and i said that the paint is chipping blah blah...well they want me to bring the car over to them so that they can see it, so i will be making that hike over there at 12:00 today...its a good half an hour drive ugh even at S speed....oh well i will keep you guys posted on what happens and wheather or not there are dead body shop guys!!!
