Default Wheel Wax

The brake dust especially on the front rims of my 04 is awful. Much worse than my 00 and I have to clean them almost daily. I purchased a product called Wheel Wax from Sports Car Tire in Wilmington and the difference is unbelieveable. Easy to apply, needs to sit for about an hour on cool wheels then wipe off. Clean the rims now with water and mild soap. No more brake dust cleaner. Dont know how loing it will hold up but I'm impressed so far. Tire Rack also carries it but I can pick it up at lunch and save shipping. Just an FYI

Is it any different than regular automotive wax products? Or is it just marketing? What is so special about it that makes it "wheel wax"?

I'ved used the regular 3M Auto Wax and Cleaner Wax on multiple sets of wheels over the years. It works great, and makes them easier to keep clean.

I've used mother's wheel wax on mine and it seems to work the same. All my brake dust comes off with a normal wash.
