if there's a tech day for this, count me in.

I did a valve adjustment on my car just a couple months ago... had a too-close-for-comfort experience with an over-rev at the track, so I went in there just to check things out for my peace of mind and figured I'd adjust them while I was in there.

It's really not hard to do, you just want to take your time and make sure its done right. Setting them too tight can lead to some very, very bad things.

If you wind up doing it yourself, or with someone else, VERY IMPORTANT: make sure the engine is COLD, going by the official shop manual, under 100*F.

Oh , Was that your car ! Sorry ... You needed tires , brakes and fuel anyway right? He was very well behaved he didn't even bump anybody off the track! my bad "road" , Maybe we can get Freq to come over a do a valve adjustment how to he has done a few. If you have the right tools it's not hard but most fine we really don't need an adjustment until 100k. I don't think you will "feel" the difference. Are they noisy ?
Set it up. I'll help.

il help as well. I suggest getting a valve cover gasket and some spark plug tube seals to prevent future leaks. will cost only a measley 35$ or so (at least thats what I paid as I work at a shop). Im adjusting mine this week once I put on my new valvecover. if anyone wants me to fax out the specs just pm me your fax number cause I have all the printouts on the specs from mitchell/all data etc. let me know!

I do have two sets of valve adjustment tools. I know I need tires soon but the brakes should be ok. If they're not I have a new set to throw on.

.020?? Holy sh*t!!!! Even .016 is insane.

Spec is definitely NOT .008 (probably what you meant to say instead of .080 ) on the exhaust side.

As per the Honda Service Manual, page 6-10:
(Cylinder head temperature must be less than 100*F (38*C)
Intake: 0.008"-0.010" (0.21-0.25mm)
Exhaust: 0.010"-0.011" (0.25-0.29mm)
