Living in the Reading area, I have been following the saga of this for several years, and look forward to being able to drive on it. A lot of the criticism has been based on negative stereotypes of racing, many compare it to dirt track or NASCAR. One comment that I read was related to the Chargers and Mustangs that would be on the track, and why would someone with a Ferrari go on that track. I find it odd that there has been such opposition to it when Maple Grove Raceway is only a couple miles away and brings many economic benefits to the area with a minimum of problems. Last weekend there was the "Pinks All Out" event at the grove which had a capacity crowd.
Any one here either attend or compete in the the Durea Hill Climb up Mt Penn? I would like to try that sometime but would not do so until I get some real experience/instruction in driving the the car at the upper end if it's abilities.

wow that is awesome.
The combined 'world class course' straightaway, turn, then another straightaway kind of reminds me of the 24 hours of LeMans course (forget the name).
Google maps shows it looks sort of like farmland. I wonder how long it would take to complete once given the thumbs up, since they have had these plans since at least 2007.

Is Liberty Bell ever going to actually happen? Or is it going to be a vapor-project like Alpine Motorsports?

Both of these projects have been floating around in limbo for going on 10 years...

The person behind the development is also co-owner of JP Mascaro Sanatation and Pioneer Crossing Landfill. He has the financial means to carry out his plans to completion.
