Thumbs up Things to do / see in West Chester......

On Sat. Oct 3rd the wife and I will be in West Chester attending a Jeep event and going to "A Taste of Olive". Open to suggestions for a lunch / dinner location or just a cool place to see.

Thanks in advance.

west chester has loads of bars/restaurants in a very small area (only a few blocks).

i recommend just parking the car and walking around town to see what you might be interested in. market and gay streets are where most of the action is, so i would just walk up and down those to get a feel for the town.

garage parking on the corner of market and high is free on Saturdays, so you can find a somewhat safe (and free) spot for your car.

i can't think of anything to do just outside of town, without going for a little bit of a drive. which might be a good thing, as the back roads in around WC are very nice

if you head down to Kennett Square, where Longwood Gardens is, Half Moon Saloon is amazing.

I agree with Snow Lotus.

There is also a parking garage on the corner of Chestnut and Walnut Streets further into town that I park at alot when going into town.

Tecca has good food, as does Spence Cafe. If you're a big seafood fan Doc Magrogans is pretty good. If you like Greek food hit up the Mediterranean. It's BYOB and has great food. All of these are located right on Gay Street. *get a reservation* otherwise you'll be waiting!

If you guys are into helicopters/aviation, there is the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester.

If you like art there is the Brandywine River Museum right down route 1 towards Kennett Square.

And of course there is Longwood Gardens.

If you plan on staying around town late, be prepared for drunk college kids hitting up the local bars in West Chester.

Have a good trip, I love this town!

It's a lot of fun up there. I usually head to concerts at The Note or get a beer at Iron Hill or one of the many other fun bars and breweries.

Susie and I will be moving into our house in Downingtown that day. We'll probably walk over to Victory. Meet us there if you're interested along with anyone else.

Other wise like stated above. Just walk up Gay street and then back down Market. There are a tone of great places to eat/drink. I haven't had many bad meals in West Chester. I second Heather's comment, I love this town as well.
