When I bought my car, it came with a VIS CF hood that I had removed and replaced with a vented stock hood. I'm in the process of wet sanding this hood and having it re-cleared as there was some hazing as is typical for CF hoods. the only other issue with the hood is, there's a small crack toward the front edge.

just wondering what I should try to get for the hood when it's done, new they go for around $400+

1 dollar! No seriously... Really it will depend on the condition it is in when you restore it. If it's pretty much mint/BNIB condition after getting re cleared I'd say it'd be more than less.

For a used hood in decent condition with may some normal wear and tear, I'd personally be willing to pay 150-300 if something is 400 new. Maybe a good idea to search the forums and see what others have been selling their VIS hoods for.

Depending on the size and visibility of the crack, I'd say ~$200 is reasonable. If it is a tiny crack that you can only see if you're looking for it then more, if you can notice it from 10-15ft away then less.
