Repainting Calipers
I painted my calipers red with the G2 epoxy painting system last year. They are slightly chipped and need to be cleaned and repainted this year. I was planning to wire brush them, clean them with a brake solvent and sand the surface before reapplying the new paint. Anyone have any experience doing this? Is 1 coat enough since they were painted with 2 initially. Thanks.

You cannot save the G2 paint. Once mixed you have to finish the whole can or it will dry up. So might as well use up the whole can. It should be enough for 3 coats. Personally, I don't think the G2 paint is much stronger than the Caliper spray paint you get at Autozone. Its all in the preparation.

1.) 3 coats of caliper paint.
2.) Decals.
3.) 3 coats of high temp clear.
Your set. No peeling, or yellow discoloring from heat.

Where can I get the decals you mentioned. Can I get high temp clear from an auto store (Auto Zone or Pep Boys) Sounds like a plan, thanks for the info.

decals, www.vinzdecals.com choose the sofachrome font to get the closest font to the S2000 logo, i think it is only like $13 for 15 decals shipped. you should be able to get the high temp clear at any auto parts store
