My light for the rear license plate acts funny, like it has it's own agenda. When I turn on my parking lights, sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesn't. I tap the top of the rear bumper, just hard enough, and it comes on. Maybe it's just quirky cause it does get really really dirty in that area. How do I remove the bulb, remove the whole fixture, and/or fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Usually, you can get at it pretty well if you take off your license plate. If that doesn't solve the problem, just take off the rear bumper and you should have all the access you need. It sounds like there is dirt in the connection somewhere. This is not uncommon, as dirt and road grime tend to accumulate on the rear bumper for some reason.

does anyone know how to change the bulb/ pull it out without removing the rear bumper? its still actin funny and need to check it before I get it inspected tomorrow

 

Take you License plate off and you should be able to get to it....where are you located....I am up and will lend a hand if you are near by....
