Hi, can anyone tell me the process of selling my s2000 which is till being financed by honda. Can the buyer still register the vehicle even thou the title is not in hand? Thanks for any help.

No, the buyer must have the title in order to register the car. If you're selling the car yourself, and not trading it in, you'll have to pay the car off and get the title from Honda before the new owner can register it.

If the buyer is willing to wait, you could use an escrow service or a lawyer to handle the money and title, so that neither party has a reason to worry.

you gotta pay it off Steve. Once you get a buyer, tell them you need a deposit of the pay off anf youl get the title.

Thanks for the info. Part of me doesn't want the sell to go through. I really wouldn't mind holding on to the car. Anyone have any idea how long it takes to get the title from Honda.

call honda financial about how long the title should take, depending on how you get the money to them could mean the difference of how fast you get the title. if it is more of a local bank you should be able to get the title same week.
