In NJ running without front plate?

I appreciate all the constructive/distructive?? feedback. It certainly seems like I am not alone here.
I will need new plates (front one was a little too buggered up) so I will have to go through the MV office gauntlet if I decide to go with the plates.
I can see why tint could be a problem because its related to safety, especially night vision.
But, I just can't see the need for the front plate, unsafe??. Heck even the new ticket camera photos at lights and toll booths only show the rear plate.
However knowing how much the local constabulary likes to write tickets . . . . .
Hey Zippy, nice to hear from another old Stooker! Hope all is well.

Back in my DSM days I got the Eclipse painted. On my way to pick up new tag bolts after leaving the paint shop I got pulled over twice on Woodbury-Glassboro Road. No ticket either time but I had the tag in the front windshield so they agreed that I had intent to put it back on.
On a side note, with financial troubles in a lot of municipalities in NJ I wouldn't risk it. "Fix It" tickets are really good revenue generation, because you can't really fight them or plea them down. You just pay, a road tax if you will.

More good stuff. Now I am really dil-enema-ized! I think I will give it a shot. I have the buggered up plate. With total humility and a plea for mercy I may get of with a light sentence.
I agree the S2k looks far better with a clean nose. W/o that NJ dribble sign hanging off it.

I guess I sort of fit that physical description as well, but if you look real close, you'll see that demented look in my eyes . . . . . . especially when I am behind the wheel.
WooHoo!!!

I say just give it a shot. Keep the other plate in the trunk in case the cop gets pissy. If you get pulled over rather soon or in high frequency, put it back on. I have not gotten pulled over once for having no plate on my car and I've been plate-free since February now.
