what about gauges...how difficult is it to run wires and attach sensors for air temp gauge and water temp gauges?
Is this a do-it-yourself job or should i have a good shop instal for me.
thanks

These can also be diy with some research. Again I have yet to do one myself, however I know for a water temp gauge the installation is pretty straight forward. Usually you install a water temp sensor sending unit (basically a T fitting in the water line), run wires from that unit through the firewall to the gauge, then splice into a power, accessory and dimmer wires on the dash to power the gauges lighting functions. Note this is the general instructions I have from memory for a more basic engine setup (Shelby gt500) and may not be the easiest way to go about it for our car.

Another option for gauges such as this would be an obdII display Link which you just plug into your obdII port which can work as a real time gauge as well as trip logger etc.

OP..after reading that facebook topic on EC, i strongly recommend against it (unless your mad lazy) Those prices are kinda wack..the only price that seems ok is the install time on the invidia header, apparently they are a reeaaall to get on..

just my $.02 though cuz

DUDE my quote from Exotic Customs that i posted on the facebook group was MADDDD expensive. Those guys there do $20-30K jobs - anyone that comes in for mickey mouse bolt-on work -they rip u the hell off!!! Mike was cool and all, but get real buddy!!! He's losing customers left and right with outrageous quotes like that. If he would just keep it real, he would get more business and his shop would get more exposure. Dumb-ass!!!!
