Default I hate people that don't know how to Drive....

I don't want to offend people of the Asian community (as I am Chinese myself), but Chinese people do not know how to park, but I just need to vent. I parked my car in Chinatown on the corner of 10th and Arch under the Dragon Arch at a parking meter. If you've ever been to chinatown you would know that everyone and their mother's like to double park where ever they want. I walked past my and looked at my front bumper and noticed that there are a couple scratches and creases on there. (I just got the SHINE bumper painted and put on like a couple months ago) Then I was like WTF!!!!!! Who the hell hit my car, and then I looked in front of my car is a commercial truck driven by some Chinese Seafood Distributing company. Then I was like who the hell hit my car, and I looked at him and of course him being a FOB, he said "Oh no, it not me. I didn't do it". Then I was like then WTF hit my car. Who else could it be, then he walked off. Of course he denied the whole thing. Then I looked at the rear bar of his truck, and I see my paint right on there. This got me even more heated. He thought I was some young retarded ass punk that didn't know what the hell I was doing. Then when he came back, and he still denied that he didn't do it. I was like, my paint is still on your rear truck bar that you hit me with!!!!!!!!!!! Then, he went looked at it himself, and then he proceeded to look and compare to my car. Then he FINALLY admits to it. WTH, if you did it, you did it. DOn't lie about it to my face and treat me like a little kid. Then we had go through this whole ordeal about he has to call his boss BLAH BLAH BLAH.... He called and I really wanted to call the cops, but me being and overtly nice person, I decided to settle this privately. His boss said it would be taken it out of the driver's income, and then I thought the economy is bad and he probably has like 6 to 7 mouths to feed at home. Therefore, I just took a portion of what it would cost to paint it, and just left it at that. I just hope that it won't come back and haunt me for being a nice person. I really wanted to shoot the guy when he denied everything, but luckily I held myself back and just spoke to him as calmly as I could without lashing out at him angrily. Looks like my car is going back to the shop and I guess I may just have to buy more stuff to put on the car....

Just remember guys, always check your car before driving off, you never know what the hell may have happened especially in Chinatown. P.S. The truclk driver was from NY, damn NY truck drivers.... Need to revoke all their licenses especially if you're Chinese and probably can't even read English. I respect people who make an Honest living, but hey I know everyone makes mistakes, but atleast own up to them. That is all for now. Stayed tuned for my potential future mods.....

Sorry Jerry. It sucks that this car has such a long nose. When people back up their cars in front of the S, they see the headlights and thinks that's about where the bumper is. Happened to me before but definitely not as severe and no paint damage.

thanks everyone, just glad that it just worked out... So I'll live.... Just so much of an hassle just to go through to get it repainted. Luckily the front bumper didn't crack, just chipped a little bit and lost some paint.

A note for future reference, no company that is legal in the US can take money out of the wages of a truck driver for hitting someones car, they MUST carry insurance in order to have a legally running company. I feel sorry for the driver (assuming he wasn't trying to scam you after lying), but if the company doesn't have insurance, then I am sure they are already a drain on the economy in one way or another.

I hate some of the roads. I scrape something at least once every time I go to center city, and I'm no where near slammed.

Philly roads are the worst. Walnut street is the worst. Cobblestone roads are the worst. Parking at the Ritz is the worst. Geno's cheese steaks are the best!
