The Aftermath - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AUugik-pig (from lil dogs post)

We all like to push our cars on nice backroads and all, me included. sometimes we get carried away but this is exactly why I will never pass someone.
I wish it showed what happened because you cant hear anything. Looks like he just took the turn too fast and went wide. At least he didnt oversteer, spin out and go off the left side down the hill and into the trees...

people dont realize that you have to respect that road and that its not a race track.

i hate to say it but with most of those corners being next to blind, over taking 2 cars, he got what he deserved.

i have been twice, i know howard kevin and other have been also.

the 1st few times through it is an awesome white knuckled ride, it is something i deffinatly suggest everyone do at least once. but the road requires a lot of respect, if that guy would have done that same move coming up the other side, i would give it good odds that he would have eneded up 20-40 feet down in a river

I've seen the guy once while we were there last year. He is a very skilled driver, just ask Billman. Knows the Dragon like the back of his hand. I guess he was just having a bad day that day... who knows.

That overtake was unexcusable though.

I don't understand the correlation between passing and the crash.

He passed, an absolute WRONG DECISION on the dragon, period. I won't dispute that at all and completely agree with everyone already posting that.

However, the crash has nothing to do with that. He was 10 seconds past the RX -8, and was back in his lane way before the crash.

I'm not going to speculate on the reasons, just that the two aren't related. He could have had the same fate if he left 2 minutes earlier (and was before the 2 cars), or if he left 10 minutes later and had a clear road.

Sucks for him... Broken car, douchery caught on film, and the impending ridicule. Got what he deserved? Sympathy for the car though.
