honda ****ing sucks.
so yesterday at tech day i was talking to---completely forget your name but im gonna need to figure out who it was cause i need to talk to you!
anyway the strikers, there is a tsb about the earlier s2ks witht them wearing down and produving horrible wind noise and rattling. tsb 01-037 to be exact. i just spent 50.00 on new strikers which now i need to find out if they are the hardtop stirkers which the tsb calls to replace the oem ones with or the ones that will go bad, i just called honda to see if they would replace mine since there is a tsb on them and its a known problem, first she said there is no such tsb then i gave her the exact tsb number thank you s2ki search worked for once! and they were like well since youa re outta warrenty then your screwwed. but you can call american honda. im like ive had this problem for the last few years! and they replaced my top back in 03 and DID NOT replace the strikers, since there is this tsb and they were replacing the top they should have replaced the strikers too! wtf?! this bulliten was issues back in 2001 and reissued in 2005. my extended warr. just expired on march 29th, this freakin sucks and i find out about this now, and mind you i just had to replace the latch also because the damn button broke off that was 100.00.
should i call american honda over 50.00 and since i am outta warrenty, but even if i am outta warr. its a known problem they should have to freakin fix it! i love my honda but i hate honda they suck!
and i need another new top cause im gettin wear holes again only 3 years into the new top, about the same exact time that it took my first top to get holes. the next top i get im going a glass conversion.

To me it looks like whoever did the job previously on your top, only did half of the job. I know it sucks. And sorry to hear.

if it were my dealership (but im acura) im sure that situation would pass through for a one time goodwill. speak to a higher authority over there.

I agree, speak with the service manager. Also remember you catch more bees with honey. I got my clutch replaced due to clutch buzz even though my honda certified warranty didnt cover it. The service manager talked to the regional guy and he ok'd it.

it was this dealership who did the top replacement, and dont even get me started with what i had to go through to get that done, i waited months and months with many meeting with different reps ect and had to go to regional honda rep who finally after a few meetings okd it.
and then she said on the phone well i am not familiar with these cars i havent seen very many, let alone had many come through here besides yours....ya that makes me feel real great about the work that they have done on my car hence why my transmission is going bad now after THEY rebuilt it a few years back.
