Help! What happened my clutch?
Hey all, I posted this in the 'under the hood' forum, but I thought the locals might have an idea too...
Ok, I just pulled off the highway into my development, and I was going to change down from 3rd to 2nd.
I pushed the clutch pedal down and it stayed there - no clutch. The car doesn't seem to be in any particular gear. I rolled home at 5-7mph and made it to my house.
There was no burning smell, and I've had no signs of the clutch slipping. I have 21k miles on the car ('04).
Is this something simple, like a clutch linkage, or did my clutch just go?
Please help before I call the dealer to come tow it...
Thanks,
Dave.

And the latest...
I just got home and went out to check the fluid. It was just a hair under the MIN mark.
When I looked under the car, I saw a pool of what looks like clutch fluid in about the right spot, and a very slow drip of fluid still coming down. It's been parked for 2 1/2 hours now, and it's a pool about the size of a dinner plate.
*** If it is the slave cylinder, is that something that's covered under warranty? ****
I guess I'll just have to call the dealer and have it towed over there. I can't see much underneath it now, and I can't drive it.

Sounds like the slave cylinder man, definatley covered under warranty. While your at it having it replaced, see if anyone at the dealership would be cool with installing the slave cylinder from an '03. Get rid of that damn delay valve. Good luck.

Hey, thanks vtec, I'll call Burns Honda tomorrow and see what the deal is.
They have a few s2ks going thru there, so I hope somebody knows what they're doing and will fix it right. I'd love to get the '03 slave put on instead.
My cruise control isn't working either, so I guess I'll get that fixed too.
