Default Got your advice/help :)

Hey guys!
I just got married and will fly to Philly on 8th October to visit my parents who live there. Can you give me some advice where to go and what best to see in Philly? Also, where to party and where and what to eat! Locals please hit me with some knowledge!
Thanx in advance!

I don't really like partying in the city, because it seems like too much of a 21-22 year old crowd anymore, but if you want a nice, cozy dinner (albeit a little pricy) I personally recommend Bookbinder's.

Also look at Cuba Libre (great atmosphere) and Paradigm (neat ambience, liked the food, cool place for after-dinner drinks). Let us know what you decide!

For other stuff to do, take a walk around the Independence Mall area and through some of the neighborhoods around there. Lots of history and some beautiful architecture.

Go to Pat's or Gino's and get yourself a cheesesteak. I agree with go sixers on seeing the historic stuff, even though I never have

I heard bookbinders was supposed to be nice.

Good luck.
Congratulations.
Have a safe trip.

Partying: Depending how old you are, there's a number of places. Old city if you're younger. Rittenhouse for a slightly more mature crowd.

Plently of places to eat but definetely experience Pat's or Geno's for a cheesesteak if you've never had one. It might be overrated but tradition is tradition.

Depends on what you like, but def get yourself a cheesesteak from Pats or Genos and def check out the historic stuff in Olde City for a few hours.

Resteraunts i like are mainly in the Rittenhouse Square area....Smith & Wolinskys for a nice steak or Barclay Prime. Byblos for a cool Med. lounge type place w/ killer food. Alma De Cuba is great latin food and Catrina's is THE best Mexican in the city if you like that type of food.

For partying, i really like the Irish Pub on 20th, Loie, The Continental (rooftop), and for a relaxed atmosphere go to the Vault at the Ritz Carlton for a few drinks. Their lobby is also a ncie place to hang out as well.

If you want to take a ncie walk, go down by the river along Kelly drive and walk along boat house row...past hte Art Mueseum, and around that area.

Shopping will be the best in Center city around Rittenhouse Sq...Chestnut, Walnut street area....or take a 20 min car ride to the King of Prussia MAll for some INSANE amounts of stores.

Have fun in Philly!

Thanks a lot! Now I know where to go, what to eat and what to see. My parents were telling me about some of those places but you gave me some other hints so I can have nice quality time in Philly. Startrek if you happen to find the name of the street or the place in china town I'll appreciate it. If anyone can give me some address to any nice tuning shop it'll be sweet!
In fact if I had longer hair I would put a red flower in it so that you can spot me so that I can thank you. But I'm getting bold haha (which isn't that funny really).
Thanx!
