Default first gear issues...

I don't know if I'm the only one or not, but it's really irritating. Anyway, sometime when I put my S in first, it like to pop out when I try to pull out and lets loose a awesome grinding sound.

It's almost like when I put it into first gear it doesn't go all of the way in and catches the gear when I release the clutch. Anyone else have this issue?

Doesn't sound good at all. I have only heard of a 3rd gear pop most commonly, and only a few cases of a 1st gear pop.

yes, dain's was second gear, but that was also a AP1 tranny, I heard there weren't many issue if any with the AP2 tranny.

yep, doesn't sound good. Anything with the tranny is either a new tranny or a rebuild.... Not like you can bang it a couple times and it's fixed. I would just take it easy in 1st and 1st to second forever.

its not from 1st to 2nd(which I never had the normal grinding issue)but pulling out in 1st, it tends not to go all the way into gear sometimes

Redline MT90 or MTL depending on the climate you are in. That will solve a lot of the issues involved with s2k the tranny. Now if something is bent or worn it won't solve anything lol but for about $25 bucks its worth a shot
