The route googlemaps planned goes pretty west of DC. We head towards harrisburg and 81S for ~500 miles.

took me about 9/ 9.5 hours to get home took us longer to get there because bigbird deicded to throw a cel but billman was there to check it out in va and then we stopped ot take a nap cause we drove overnight i think we left at like 8pm on a thursday and then got there at like 9am friday that was with the stop in va and with a nap but it is a decent drive there.....
and yes everyone should do it at least once!
the more i talk about this the more i am thinking about going and i saw a tv show about the dragon the other night...humm i may have to reconsider this
mikey snaped this shot of me passed out at the rest stop..you always have to bring your own pillow

as everyone else said it's a great experience lots of cars, lots of people, amazing scernery and roads and the partying's good too
if i wasn't going to vegas in april i would already be signed up i need to get back down there so that i can drive a few of the roads i didn't get to before (cherohala parkway sp?) as well as get some night runs in
it'll just have to wait until dragonball next year or wtd 08
