i think id be down also. the one catch is making sure you are south of DC before rush hour, or you are adding 1-2 hours of clutch grinding traffic.

Googlemaps said it takes 11 hours, 700 miles. We can probably do it in 9 but would be REALLY exhausted afterwards. I believe the NY metro caravan leaves thursday night and stays at a motel. Not sure about Mid-a.

The route googlemaps planned goes pretty west of DC. We head towards harrisburg and 81S for ~500 miles.

Tenative plan:

Leave philly 4am
Harrisburg around 5:30am
Hagerstown around 6:30am? Take a short break
Front royal 7:15?
Shenandoah Statepark 7:25? (optional) Want to break off 81S here to visit Shenandoah State park. I heard the roads are very good. Plus it's something to break the 81S monotany.
Waynesborough 8:00? Small break
Back to 81S again to Roanoke 10:00? Moderate break

It's another 5 ish hours from there which I haven't planned. I'll try to see if we can meet up with Mid-A or NY metro around here. If they take the same road that is...

If you guys are game, then I'll book a cabin (2/3bdr) Prices are $209 - 239 I believe, cheaper with S2000 event? I dunno. Friday night, Saturday night stay. I don't know whether you guys want to stay sunday as well.

So philly metro has
1. Kamui157
2. Gink5
3. Sweetmeat
4.
5.

Guess my reply didn't go through.

NYmetro I believe, is leaving Thursday around 8pm. Breaking the trip at a hotel, then proceeding the next morning. I was under the assumption you guys just wanted to plow through and not stay a night midway.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I've been wanting to take on the dragon for a while now.

Being things as they are with me, would you guys mind an FD or two?

I'm sure it's gonna be. I don't mind the FD's (love them), but I don't really know the rules that well. Check the Wake the dragon thread. I'm sure they allow it though.

Ya, that was my main concern(that it was strictly S2k only)...of course my other concern is holding up the convoy if I have engine problems

I love FDs, I don't think there's really any other car compairable to them, as far as feel, power delivery, performance and look, but a turbo rotary is a turbo rotary. They always give issues
