damn dudue.. that sucks... i would of just hit the damn dog... i'm in a familiar situation.. i just recently hit a tree....
well it was a fairly big dog. hitting it would've definitely damaged the front bumper, possibly headlight, maybe hood....and worst of all, i had my top down, what if it woulda flipped up into the car.!!!!!

if to do again, i would've done the same thing, but maybe take a different emergency action. as freq eluded to, the maneuver i performed wouldn't have upset the car as it did, if i would've had good tires on.....plus i'd rather scrape up my car then kill poor fido. that's someone's best friend. now if it were a squirrel (or any other smaller animal)......DIE BITCH DIIIIIE!

But imagine if that was your dog. A car can be fixed but losing a part of the family (usually) is much more devastating.

Just playing devil's advocate to your statement. If it were a choice between saving a dog's life or losing my own, well the choice would be obvious (I'd save myself of course).
All the more reason animal lovers should leash their animals! Our neighborhood has at least 3 large dogs that roam around..it makes me so sad to see this.

Boy, that sucks! I feel for you having to make that kind of choice. I very rarely swerve to avoid animals in the road (squirrels, rabbits, coons, etc), but they are all smaller than a dog. My first instinct would have been to swerve too. Although, if I would have wrecked my car as a result, I would have been chewing on that dog owner's ass!

oh trust me, i was cursing both the dog and owner to no end. I just wish the dog would've stayed put so i could've gotten a look at his tag. I would've looooooooved to be able to return the dog and then give the owner a piece of my mind. Oh well, a car is just a car. The dog got out safe and so did I. I guess that's what really matters.

what really stinks is that the money i'm going to have to use to fix this was money set aside to install gears....grrrr, i hate spending mod money on things other then mods.
