From Allentown get to 412 through Hellertown, keep to 412 until you hit 611. 611 south to RT 32 down to New Hope, unfortunately there is usually traffic. This is the route we'll take to meet up at the Nuts Run and the New Hope Run.
Other great runs include Rt 145 out of Allentown to Blue Mountian Rd. From there take just about any road you want and it'll be a great twisty country road.
Rt. 29 out of Emmaus to Right on Saint Peters Rd. Take this all the way out or take any road off of this and you'll be on a great country road. If you take Saint Peters Rd. all the way out turn left and take it to Rt. 29. Turn around and back track as far as you want to go, it's all great road.
If you have time to spare just explore the back roads in this area, there are probably hundreds of miles of back roads that are great to drive.
You can also take Rt. 611 north past Easton PA all the way up to the Delaware Water Gap. There are great back roads that split off of 611.
There are some great roads around the Belvidere, Oxford, Washington N.J. area.
I could probably go on and on about great roads just outside of the Lehigh Valley.

Speaking of the new hope run, anyone going??? I was thinking of going but wasn't sure about the drive down there. If we can get a bunch of people from the area to go down together that would be great!

Of those who are going where exactly are you from, and what would be a good meeting place for you? I'm in exton, so anywhere in exton, downingtown, malvern, westchester would be best for me.

It sounds like you are a good candidate to organize a in the Lehigh Valley....sometime in the future

Dana and Janice from Blandon led a great drive a couple summers ago...starting in Berks Co and ranging thru some Schuylkill Co valleys. OTOH, they sold their S and are living their dream: ski in the winter/ work hard in the summer

JFO organized a drive just north of Allentown a couple of years ago. I helped him map out the route but I'm not sure what the turn out for the run ended up being. I can talk with JFO and maybe freq about organizing a LVR(Lehigh Valley Run), we all know some really good roads in this area.
