Aren't the 4.57's 900 something from hardtop guy normally? and that is the regular price for the comptech housing so where is the big savings? If you get the pumkin sent to you with the gear set already in then it's not much of an install so labor shouldn't be too much?

Am I missing something?

The BIG savings is your piece of mind that the gears were installed correctly and put into your car correctly. You can't put a price on that. I deal with horror stories of gear installs gone bad on a weekly basis.
Sure there are cheaper alternatives out there, If you want the best sometimes it's a little more expensive, but well worth it in the long run.
I agree. I had Richmond gears installed over 2 years ago on my other car. It's still not running right after several trips back to several different shops. As its my third car I've pretty much given up on it.

I'd be willing to spend a little extra for a job well done...

I had my 4.77's done my HT Guy. Considering how and when it was installed, I was amazed to never had a problem. Intsalled in hotel parking lot in pouring rain at midnight and then broken in on the track the next day. Pretty impressive

I'd prob do it myself now but if I didn't know how, HT Guy is where I would go

Ive been pm'ing Hard Top Guy and he said that if theirs a group of guys that want diffs installed with 4.57's or 4.77's that he would come down and do our installs pending we supply a garage.

The 4.77's are available now, but the 4.57's arn't ready yet. I myself want 4.57's.

So anyway, if we can get a few Del Val guys who have the money for gears this can happen. Im just posting this incase anyone has ever wanted gears, but hasnt bought them because of the install.
Forget the gears brother... go for the Evo IX!! Just think 250hp to the wheel right outta the box and for another $800 you'll be kicking close to 350WHP... all hell is breakin loose!

Oh well, I guess noone else is interested. If it falls through, thanks anyway for the effort.

I guess I could join the VA group buy. Much more of a hassle driving down there and staying overnight though..
