Default Anyone interested in a FD group install?

Ive been pm'ing Hard Top Guy and he said that if theirs a group of guys that want diffs installed with 4.57's or 4.77's that he would come down and do our installs pending we supply a garage.

The 4.77's are available now, but the 4.57's arn't ready yet. I myself want 4.57's.

So anyway, if we can get a few Del Val guys who have the money for gears this can happen. Im just posting this incase anyone has ever wanted gears, but hasnt bought them because of the install.

I would definitely be down for this. The only reason why I haven't gotten gears yet is I don't know of any trustworthy shop for the install.

had bad experiences with gear installs on my other car

thanks for looking into this

Too much $$, it can be done for 1/2 that price IF you can afford to have your car down for a week or two.

Why do you still have your Del Val badge? JK, I'll stop stalking you now.

Frank, what kind of price are we looking at for an installed gear?

I would be interested in 4.57's in a month or two perhaps.

Not exactly sure. If theirs major intrest ill PM Jeff.

Im sure we would have to pay for the:
- Gears
- Yellow Box
- Comptech Housing (if you need one)
- Labor
- Travel expenses that it cost Jeff to get to us.

Most of us will be giving our old diffs back as a core, so that helps.

If we get enough intrest in this ill cancel my rim order and save the money for 4.57's.

From the Mid-A thread......

A complete 4.77 geared diff will be installed in your car along with the speedometer calibrator for the price of 1125.00. You can add a comptech housing for 449.00 or an 04 housing for 299.00 (if you are an AP1). You can also add cryo treating the ring gear for an additional 100.00.
I will need a 200.00 deposit (non refundable) to reserve your spot and start building your diff.
