you need to launch about 2-2.5 RPMS higher, you are doing more damage to your diff at those low rpm launches. launch higher with slight wheel spin and you should be ok

Launch at 5.5-6k rpms and floor it. It'll spin and should hook up around 8k rpms, then shift into second and your golden; thats how a managed a 1.9 60' on SO2s with a stock s2k

Definitely need to launch higher around 6000, less if the track isn't so good, more if it is stickier. You need wheelspin with every drag car, but it is vital in the S2000 because it doesn't make enough torque to recover.

Forget drag racing and start auto x'ing and tracking

s2000 isn't made to hit anything better than 13.9's out of the box.

You need to launch right above the vtec point so that once you start going the revs won't fall to low to where it takes time to get back into vtec. Also, you have to redline every single shift. Don't shift at 9k, shit after 9k when the light comes on.

You should be shifting at 9k. As said before if youre bogging off the line rev it up more when you launch. What track do you race at?

What he said, this is a car that goes around corner much better than 1/4 mile.
