Where were you born?

Always cool to see where people moved throughout their lives. For me it was GA --> NE Oklahoma (moved between 2 towns there) --> SE Kansas --> Minnesota Not counting Wichita, KS for one internship, College Park, MD for another internship/project and Fairbanks, AK for a project that ended up not going forward after a month. So all of those were just short 1-3 month stints.

Small world!!! So there is a chance we lived pretty close to your grandfather if not in the same neighborhood! I was too young to remember many names of the people around us. I know there was a guy older than my parents named Tom I think that lived alone across the street. Otherwise, I just remember kids names. Funny what you remember from that age.. I remember Angela and Stephanie who were two little girls a little older than me that liked to bully the little boys when they were together, but were nice when apart lol. Since the road by our house dead ended at the top of the hill a block away, the parents used to take the kids to the top of the hill and let us race down on our big wheels! Only a little flesh was lost due to crashes ....
AMAZNING what you can learn in the
LOVE the Big Wheel story

To be honest I don't really remember it that much because we moved when I was very young. I think that I remember some things but I'm not sure if I really remember them or think that I do because my parents told me about it and they have/had some pictures/slides/home movies. My family did go back and drive through our old neighborhood when we were visiting relatives that had moved to that area.

Google maps won't let me go up the road that says dead end, but you can see the house My Dad & Grandfather built (along with his fellow army buddies, Ga. Tech football staff buddies and some uncles) back in the early 70's. My Aunt sold it to one of her cousins after my Grandmother died back around the turn of the century... I spent some of my summers there growing up and lots of awesome Christmases...

google says "Cartersville" all I know is the 3rd Army used to have a recreational "base" there on lake Altoona. They used to have it block off with an MP guard station where you had to have military ID to go on site. At some point in the late 70's/early 80's the security wasn't so tight, but it was still only opento military families. It may be gone now I haven't been there since the mid 90's.

Well the years she was there I would go to visit and or take care of her as she was ill later in life.
She was fortunate to live quite a ways OFF the 680 so no noise and or congestion, beautiful Oak tree lined roads
Miss that area of Cali a ton! Sis-in-Law lived south of there in Pleasanton , also a beautiful area.
