These numbers are pretty close to what I'm supposed to be paying for. I am testing this on 802.11b wireless, though. I should try this again from my hardwired LAN downstairs.

You really won't notice any difference other than your overall top speed. CAT5e can run 10/100/1000 Mbps and it can also run full duplex so your potential speeds can be double. Wireless has an overhead so you don't acutally get the full bandwidth rating they advertise.
