I can go with that. My wife actually wants to get a small SUV to be able to go to the mountains in the winter. I don't think we'll go enough to justify and besides... there's snow there.

Snow in a 4x4 *is* fun. I think I've just had enough snow for my lifetime. I'd like a 4x4 if I was going off road or had cabin. I do have to laugh at some 4x4 cowboys we have around here. Yesterday I saw a guy with a Ford F350 and it had to be jacked up a meter and a half! My bet is the guy NEVER takes it off road. It's a pity really. Like having an S and never VTECing.

We have just taken a house in the mountains here..... I will be working on the wife to get a 4x4 to keep up there since I don't fancy the S2000 in the snow too much

Your wife is far better looking than I, TJ!

(and I'm sure much more reasonable)

I am sure she is (on both counts)

She is actually surprisingly reasonable... I don't know how I get away with what I do already really!!!!

I am thinking of getting a very cheap 4x4 to keep up at the house in the mountains though.......

Actually, I think getting the 4x4 is a eminently reasonable. I only meant you should keep it compact. No Hummers for TJ!!!!

(I love my Suzuki 4x4, BTW. Gets 30MPG!)
