luke, james, on the new avatars...

10x for james, though.

anyway, photoshop or jasc is definitely overkill for making avatars. i use LView Pro exclusively for making avatars. you ca download a 21-day evaluation program from download.com

the cool thing is that it's a full-feature program that does NOT expire. after 21 days, there's simply a pop-up every time you run the prgram, telling you what day you're on. I'm currently "on day 218 of the 21-day evaluation period."

I use Alexf20c Amateur v2.3

It gets the job done, but it's pretty stubborn, sometimes it doesn't load up, and it is easily corrupted..... but it is cheap.

If I'm just sizing to 100x100 and >5K I use a free version of PhotoStudio I got a long time ago at the Arcsoft site.

Click here to upgrade to Alexf20c Amateur v2.34 Build 211.

It features a new, more user-friendly interface and fixes glitches and bugs associated with the outgoing v2.3. It also includes the option of changing skins, available at www.geocities.com/motorcities/alexf20c/amateur.html.
