littleton, I have done my taxes on TurboTax for the Web w/ their electronic filing option. You file electronically and within 2 days they tell you if they accept it and then you get your return usually within 10 business days. There's a fee attached, but it's worth it to me for the simplicity.
As for the bank account, I just sat down and figured out that in the time that I had a bank account that I DID balance my checkbook constantly the bank and I never disagreed by more than a few cents. I hate balancing my checkbook and decided that it was worth it to me to risk a few cents every few years rather than sit there with a calculator for an hour or whatever only to realize that we agreed.
I mean, if I had a million dollars or something I might be concerned...but I'm not that well paid...

We've got some people at work who think they are pretty smart. We'll see Monday! 
I'm just gonna email the thing to them and not say anything. Just let em stew in it for a while. It'll be fun.
