I'm not surprised you feel that way. I was never into the Georgetown deal either but then again I'm a good bit away. When I had a bunch of friends that went to College Park we would go down. Cab ride to Metro...and the Metro stops a few blocks from Adams Morgan so you can walk or pay a Cab $5-$10 to drop you off down there.

In Adams Morgan make sure you get a Jumbo Slice before you leave for the night
