I don't know if these would be good then. We get rain so rarely here that when it does rain all the oil on the road just makes you slide around, and it takes awhile to wash clean. The proxies are pretty decent in the rain. Josh tells me at least as good as the s02's !!!

Wickster, I've been to TWS once since the new suspension/brakes/tires, and they worked phenomenally well.
I did 3 runs of about 45min each. I bested my previous fastest lap by almost 3sec on the 1.9mi course. I was damn happy with that, because my previous best was damn fast - full balls-to-the-wall.
The tires would heat up in a lap or two, but wouldn't be at their best until about 5min into the run. 20min later at 10/10ths driving and they start to get sticky, and too slick, so I ease off a bit to bring the temp back down. By the time I pull back into the pits 25min later, the tires have started to go away.
The tire wear is actually pretty good for such a soft tire. I could probably do a good 1500mi (of 10/10ths track driving) before replacing them.

The problem was on my cool-down runs, I'd pick up shitloads of dust (TWS was always a dirty track) because I wouldn't be going fast enough to keep it off... We'd take a masonry blade and scrape it off (with help from a blowtorch) when I pulled in.

That weekend they had the Texas One-Mile Shootout at an abandoned air field. There were categories based on mph, ranging anywhere from 130mph, 150mph, 180mph, 200mph, and 210mph+. The rules were fully street-legal cars on street tires and pump gas.
The fastest was a blown and sprayed Viper that only managed 195mph.
