Same. I can legitimately say I have only one friend who is kicking ass at parenting. More and more I hear about people who regret having kids - not because they don't love their kids or have many moments of joy together, but because they didn't have kids with the right person, or they couldn't really afford it, or they had some unresolved stuff from their past and thought kids would fix it, or they were too young/old when they became parents, or...

It came down to cost for me and the fact that men = child support if the relationship dissolves. I don't want to get into it too much on s2ki, but if you want the man to pay for the kid, you got to let him see him sometime.
