That said, I've always said the senior Bush should have said in 90/91: "Saddam, old buddy, we've got the Alaska parked in 80 feet of water in the Arabian Sea. Say the word and Iraq will cease to exist." I may be fairly unique on this board: a flaming liberal environmentral protection guy who's an outspoken warmonger.

Well actually we did use our power. You may or may not remember, but President Clinton ordered a missile strike in 1998 following the bombing of the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. I served aboard one of the Navy vessels responsible for that missile strike.

 

I'm all about the environment too, but feel national defense is just as important.
