No VTEC in 2 days... and counting. DON'T TRY THIS!

Me too. If I were to speculate on the results of the test based on the interim highly unscientific results, I would guess 22 mpg for this experiment. Monday we'll know.

This is all really interesting...I am curious what the results will be....also keep in mind that the mileage of your car will also affect its fuel economy...it's like a bell curve (at least it's supposed to be) As the car is properly broken in...it's fuel economy is supposed to increase until wear'n'tear starts robbing it of efficiency. Has anyone noticed a change in miles-per-gallon as their car gets "older" so to speak?

Mine is a june 01 baby with 23Kmiles on it. About every 4 months I check my mileage over 5 consecutive weeks. It's been close to spot on 20mpg and constant... so far. One of the reasons (the main one in fact) I track this is early diagnosis of problems. You you're right in line with my thinking.
Peter... you could get more if you stopped using that sh1tty Aus gas.

My MPG was nearly 30 for a while when I first got the car. Now it hovers between 24-25 after 7K miles. I use 94 octane.
I haven't gone back to that 'initial' driving style, John, since I broke the car in last June. Interesting experiment, though.
