Yes. However (1) they're starting to ship them out Christmas week, (2) the convertible probably won't be announced until October, and (3) thousands of people have put up $2,000 deposits with dealers across the country over the last two years. I'm definitely getting one, a red vert, but it might tale a year. Here's what it's going to look like:

We're going to an invitation only C8 showing at Allen Gwynn Chevrolet, where I get Big Red serviced, on Friday, 8/9.

I saw the C8 yesterday at my local Chevy dealer. There were so many people around it that it was hard to see more than a little bit of the car at a time. It seemed more cramped inside than my C7. I sat in the driver's seat. Anne Marie sat in the passenger seat and said the same thing. The raised right edge of the center console with the long line of heater/AC buttons is a little weird. It seems like it takes your eyes off the road. The fit and finish are excellent. The front (frunk) and rear storage areas are together small, quite a bit smaller than my C7 vert trunk. My local dealer is not a big volume Corvette dealer. 30 people have already put down deposits. I would need to take a test drive in order to give a proper evaluation. I came away with less of a desire to get one then I had before. I've been following this car on the Corvette Forum for two years. My understanding is that thousands of people have put down $2,000 deposits with dealers across the country over the last two years. I'm holding out for another vert, which should be introduced before the end of the year. I figure if I get one from Kerbeck by next February, exactly six years after I got my first year 14 C7 vert, I'll be lucky.
