Less and less every year. Class sizes are absurd in Philadelphia (as are most inner city districts) We have some teachers who work here part time, who have 35+ kids in their classes with NO AID or assistant. ITs not even sitting anymore.
Do you honestly think that if the school budget was increased to $25k per kid/year, that would result in more book spending (books=any/all educational items) per kid?
I'm willing to bet that the admins/teachers etc will continue to eat up the same percentages (if not more) of that per kid budget, and the kids will see even less (as a percentage) then they do now.

The admin/teacher ratio is ridiculous! I wish I had the figures, but it is staggering the amount of red tape and in the district.
