Yes. there are four screws/bolts holding on the engine grill. They let water in to the trunk compartment but are easily sealed, so I WON'T be calling her "leaky".

i'm not saying you'd ever drive it in the rain, but is the top weathertight?

yes by every indication. I've not yet driven it in the rain and I plan to ride by bicycle to work when it rains (yes) but it seems fine and well constructed that way.
