Apple Lossless is usually 24/96 before compression. On playback, it sounds BETTER than 'redbook.' If you make a CD of a 24/96 source, it looses some fidelity, but it sounds fine (not ne plus ultra but fine). And, as many cohorts of mine have pointed out, mp3s are perfectly okay, as they're usually being played back through standard-issue computer speakers. . . and the files are small.

The suspension on my S2000 is too stiff for vinyl. They keep skipping.



As for sound quality... I can't hear the difference... the wind noise is too loud.
