Yeah, actually I have heard the Alpine iPod interface thingy is not as user friendly as it could be Lots of info on it in the electronics forum 
I know one local guy who has it..I played with his for a few minutes..it seems doable (oh I can only imagine the edits after typing that sentence!)

Well Im used to using the pod on its own but hooked up so having it read on the deck will be a PLUS! I remember some SoCal DUDE had one stealthed into his glove box and said it worked great but I dont think it was in an Alpine box. Im sure once its hooked up it will be nice! I just cant wait to get it

there are some issues w/ the alpine ipod interface, but I love mine. so much easier than having to look at the small text on the ipod screen, and I can just keep the ipod stashed inmy glovebox and not worry.
