Sausages should taste of sausage not of bacon ...... I guess I am just too much of a Brit to accept frankfurters as being proper sausages

Hehe. You'll have to ask James. When I posted my original message, I thought it was just what the English called Frankfurters

(When my Dad visited a few months ago, we went grocery shopping once, and I bought some bacon for breakfast, and he said something like, "why don't you get some saveloy too?" and I was like, "wtf?" and he was like, "hot dogs")

It is a sausage like item the contents of which are a closely guarded secret known only to those with a constitution that allows them to keep the contents of their stomach where they belong after they have been told what a saveloy contains !!!!
