Default How Do You Keep Track of All The Different Threads?

I'm still a "virgin corner lurker" so I don't have all the tricks of the trade down.... but how do you guys (and gals), keep track of all the different threads? I tried to follow one that I missed for a few days, and it took me 20 minutes just to figure out what was going on. By the time I finished reading, the topic was totally off somewhere else.... like, VTECMOM talking about swinging.. and then the next thing I know..it's about Ichiro over at her place for BBQ
How do you guys do it?!?!?!

Don't bother trying to follow things, just jump in and start a new subject if you don't know what is going on ....

The correct answer is:

(1) You must be perfectly level.

(2) You must be pointed perfectly south. (Your control panel, therefore, must be pointed perfectly north.)

(3) Dial in the elevation.

(4) Dial in the latitude and longitude correct to within an arc-minute.

(5) Dial in the exact local time.

(6) Dial in the exact Greenwich Meridian time.

(7) Find, center, and lock on any two of forty easily identifiable guide stars. (If necessaryu, one star alignment is possible.)

You can now track threads with the "GO TO" fuction, including high precision pointing and periodic error correction.
