What a beautiful funeral...It was perfect in every way. I guess I'm getting sentimental in my old age...The Color Guard just put a lump in my throat...And such resolve on Nancy's part...

Democrat or Republican, you have to admit Ronald Wilson Regan was a Great American. God Bless his Soul. God Bless America...

He was my fraternity brother -- Tau Kappa Epsilon. Just before I pledged, during rush, I saw a TKE recruiting movie he made. Somebody said he spent a half mil of his own money on it, which was probably BS.

I think one of the most amazing things was an image my father relayed last night at dinner about Mikhail Gorbechev visiting the casket and walking up and putting his hand on the casket and bowing his head.

When the man who was "defeated" in the Cold War can come up to his former adversary and bestow that level of respect you know that Reagan must have been a great man.

It's amazing how time bestows perspective...When Mr. Reagan was Governor of California, and later as President, I always thought he was kind of a bumkin. He wasn't.

Of course I was a fag hippie liberal Democrat then, before Mr. Clinton started to Fvck with my Constituitional 2nd Amendment rights via the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban Act... I became a Republican so fast, your AR-15 would spin....

I'm about as non-partisan as they come...but I have a great deal of respect for Reagan. I'm not deluded enough to think that he was perfect or that his Presidency was without fault, but I believe that he was a great man.

It's interesting to see how people are remembered. We are all a collection of our successes and our foibles, yet some are remembered as heros and others as villains.

I'm happy to see Reagan remembered a hero...though I sincerely hope they stop naming stuff in DC after him...
